Offering idyllic views of lush countryside tucked away in a tranquil corner of Herefordshire, Wellingtonia Park is steeped in history and nature. The grounds haven't always been as you see them today. Originally just a collection of farm buildings and surrounding land, it wasn't long before the property's potential caught the eye of a young man from Birmingham. Wanting a property of grandeur, he put a façade on the estate's main building, now known as The Green, landscaped the park and established a bountiful lake. He planted thousands of trees: oak, yew and, the pièce de résistance, Wellingtonia. Standing more than 70 metres high and bringing over 200 years of history to the grounds, it's clear to see just why the Wellingtonias define us.
The Smith family moved here over 30 years ago, three generations have seen the trees grow and both they and the family are firmly rooted here. A farming family hailing from Leicestershire, the Smiths longed for pastures new, and fell in love with the rolling hills of Herefordshire. They worked the land, made it their own and now would love nothing more than to share it with you on your special day.
The future is green for Wellingtonia Park.
Living and farming in this lush corner of the country gives us a unique understanding of the land and so protecting and sustaining it is a core value for us. As we develop our home, we will be putting this focus at the heart of what we do and have some exciting projects already in the pipe line. Watch this space for more.
